Orienteering Course (N200)
Orienteering is a sport - a cross-country race using a map and compass. Generally the points are already plotted on the map or are copied from a master map by the contestants using terrain features rather than a grid system. This skill-set requires a keen understanding of map reading and good compass and pace skills. Orienteering can be done at a run or a walk; competitions are full speed! This is a good course for those who visit public parks and forests where topographical maps are available but grid systems are not on the map. You can use the skills taught in our Orienteering Course to enjoy the outdoors and stay found!
